Six main advantages of forged aluminum alloy wheels

1. High intensity, safety and reliability
  The forged aluminum alloy hubs have high bearing capacity which is 5 times     that of common steel hubs. Experimental results show that the forged aluminum alloy hubs only deform for 5cm after bearing 71,200kg but steel hubs have deformed for 5cm after bearing 13,600kg when comparing the two kinds of hubs with the same specification. In other words, the intensity of the forged aluminum alloy hubs is 5 times that of steel hubs.

Nippon Light Metal Association took a simulation test that a truck dashed against a curbstone at the speed of 50km/h, which is equivalent to that a 910kg object falls off a high position and dashes against a tire and a wheel. Nippon VIA Laboratory took a standard test that in a 6m-high impact testing machine, a 1,000kg object gives a high-speed impact on a hub in the state of free falling body. It turns out that the forged aluminum alloy hub is basically not damaged after the impact experiment; however, the steel hub and the cast aluminum alloy hub are damaged very seriously and cannot be used.

2. Light weight, low oil consumption, high maneuverability
   The forged aluminum alloy hubs used by trucks are lighter than 23kg, while steel hubs of the same specification are about 46kg, so the weight can be reduced by more than 1/2. According to the data provided by International Aluminum Association, the oil consumption of cars can be reduced by 6%-8% as the weight of cars is reduced by 10% under normal circumstances. Cumulatively, the oil consumption of one truck can be reduced considerably.

Due to the light-weight feature of the forged aluminum alloy hubs, cars can be driven more lightly and particularly stably at a high speed after being equipped with them; meanwhile, these kinds of hubs feature high starting speed, light braking and good braking effect, thus improving the driving comfort.

3. Quick heat dissipation, difficult puncture
  To an automobile driven at a high speed, high-temperature puncture, reduction in braking efficiency and other phenomena generated by tire landing friction, braking and other reasons occur frequently. However, the thermal conductivity of aluminum alloy is 3 times that of steel, and aluminum alloy tires can very easily dissipate the heat generated by tires and chassis into the air due to their structural features, so automobiles can keep an appropriate temperature to reduce the puncture rate even under the conditions of long-distance high-speed driving or continuous braking on a downhill path.

The forged aluminum alloy hubs are difficult to deform (their feature), and can dissipate heat quickly due to its specific air movement, thus protecting suspension systems well. Therefore, the abrasion of tires can be reduced at a low temperature, to ensure that each tire can run about 3-5km further.

In addition, the forged aluminum alloy hubs can dissipate heat quickly (their feature), and have a low temperature in the normal driving process, so they have an extremely good protection effect on materials and accessories of braking systems, which cannot resist to high temperature, thus greatly reducing the maintenance cost of braking systems.

4. High roundness, good dynamic balance
  The forged aluminum alloy wheels with the roundness of not more than 0.1mm are machined by CNC lathes after integrated forging, and cannot shake in the high-speed driving process. While steel wheels are formed by welding steel plates in a curled mode, with the roundness error of more than 1mm.

The forged aluminum alloy hubs have uniform texture, with the dynamic balance of less than 50g. While the dynamic balance of steel hubs are greatly higher than this number. Therefore, the forged aluminum alloy wheels are more stable and comfortable in the driving process.

5. Integrated molding, attractive appearance
  Aluminum alloy hubs have smooth surfaces and are easy to process due to integrated molding. The surfaces subjected to smooth turning have a beautiful metal texture which is peculiar to aluminum alloy; the aluminum alloy hubs will have noble style and appearance through the polishing technology.

6. Strong environment friendliness
  Due to high recovery rate and light weight of aluminum materials, fuels can be saved, and the emission load of carbon dioxide is reduced.
